The second I saw a glimpse of the Atomic Blonde fight scene, I got goosebumps all over. That move is the pinnacle of true realistic action movie sequences and realistic display of human heroism. With wounds, broken bones and pain that the hero suffers. And it's a woman. Wow <3

It's just whatever the movie needs to move the plot along at that point in time - disable cars, heal spines, make weapons, make...sneakers. Also Shuri...wtf. We're supposed to even slightly believe this average as teen is in charge of Wakanda's ENTIRE research and development division? Apparently actually she's the ONLY one as I don't recall seeing anyone assisting her RnD. An intelligent example of how this exact type of character could be handled is Q from James Bond Skyfall - a young adult at the head of RnD who actually acts intelligently (basically dorky) plus in numerous scenes we see the whole team of researchers assisting him, so his character is far more believable. And the last fight scene, that CGI borefest, this is the most annoying thing about this movie, as here we have our 2 characters in head-to-toe suits, so the audience couldn't tell which actors were in the suits...can you imagine if they instead cast 2 martial artists for this scene? How cool would that have been - we could have had a professionally choreographed and acted fight scene, the best out of the Marvel movies and one of the best in cinema - period. The chance to have your main characters be in head-to-toe suits for a fight is so rare in storytelling. Yet the morons behind this movie went and gave us a poorly CGI'ed scene.

The last time I recall them writing a good female character was Tangled. She was more competent than Flynn in a lot of situations but she was charming, likable and feminine while still being a “strong female character” and Flynn still felt like a masculine charming guy despite being incredibly flawed.

I think nowadays marvel thinks more cgi and cool action scenes = good and likeable movie. Like what you stated in the beginning, literally an hour of the first Iron Man movie is helping the audience have an idea of who Tony Stark is and his whole character arc WITHOUT showing him already having a full fledged Iron Man suit and flying around like he's god.

The MCU ended with Avengers Endgame. Period. Whether or not you thought Endgame was good, I think we can all at least agree it was a well crafted ending to a series finale that the MCU had been building for 11 years.
